The Birds and the Bees

Rocky is in heat... 

Our beautiful dog cant be fixed yet due to an infection she got as a little puppy so we knew we had to go through this part of life with her...

poor girl.

Meet Jamal.

(this is the closest i could get to him)

 

Yes, he is a black Dog... and we are not sure how we feel about the name choice.

Yet, he does fit some stereotypes...

1. He breaks into our yard
2. He tries to get our little girl pregnant.

Jamal is a Yorkie-Pom mix.
Yorkie.... hm....

Remember Rocky's best friend Tank?

Yes, Jamal is Tank's son!

Tank burrowed under his fence and got the neighbor Pomeranian pregnant.

Our neighbors took his child, and now Jamal is trying to do the same to our Weimeraner.

Like Father like son.

Now... let try to imagine what a yorkie-pom-eraner would look like...

Bu, if he already succeeded we are in big/bad/ugly trouble.

Christmas is here!!!

Twas the Night before Christmas...

Our fireplace might be gas powered, but at least it still looks like Christmas :)

We decided to be a real christmas tree family this year.  All my life we went christmas tree hunting in our garage, not at a store! Kevin convinced me that the pine smell from the tree was one of his favorite parts of christmas. I suggested putting pine car fresheners around the house, but that didn't fly! I was outnumbered by Kevin and our brother Trent that was living with us at the time.

We offered to puppy-sit Tank(the Yorkie) while our friends, the Pateys, went to Alaska.

Rocky loved having a playmate, she loved it a little too much. While they were chasing each other around the house rocky slammed into the wall! We love our dumb dog...

Rocky knows how to jump on our bed, and always lounges there even though she know she's not allowed.  Tank got jealous so we let him up for a minute...

It then turned into a dog pile!

Tank had no fear of heights! Don't mind my prego belly, only 5 weeks to go! :)

Christmas Morning!!!

We slept in until about 7. Ye,s I said slept in! You try to make a pregnant lady sleep in, especially for Christmas morning!!!

As you can easily see here, Kevin wasn't as exited as I was to wake up that early...

His attitude quickly changed when he saw what was inside...

He has only played it like once since Christmas, better luck finding a stocking stuffer next year Krystina. Nothing beats his Reflex dirtbike game.

He got me my favorite candy! Andes mints, nothing makes a pregnant whale more happy than candy!!!
There's that happy face again with his new outfit.

Snow Day

Dec 21, 2010- My first missed day of work! I was snowed in!

2 feet of snow convinced me not to drive into the city that day :)

Our house is ready for Christmas!

I came home from work and saw Kevin looking at puppies for sale on KSL.
This was the picture that stole our hearts.

We went and got her that day!
This is a picture of her first night in her new home :)

That pig ear was as big as her head!

Exploring her new backyard...

We took her on a hike up to a waterfall by our house the next morning for my birthday! She did so good on the leash, but she hated the water! Now we dread taking her on walks... 

She was so little then! 

Kevin called her rocky for short, and it just stuck. 

She now is only called Roxanne when she is up to no good... 
which is still pretty often ;)
